The Ford F650 super truck was first introduced back in 2000 in Ford’s commercial fleet. The F650 is designed as a heavy hauler and is often used for towing or as a small dump truck. So imagine my surprise when I first saw a tricked out custom version rolling through my neighborhood. It was humongous and I had no idea what it was when I first saw it. It really was the most unique truck I had ever seen. Luckily, the owner of the gorgeous beast must lived in the area so I got a few more glances and discovered it was and F650. Since I don’t pay any attention to commercial vehicles I didn’t know Ford made anything past an F450 in the their F series.
The picture below this paragraph is obviously of a custom F650. The commercial ones aren’t quite as pretty. I can’t really imagine what one would do with such a sizable beast. Few garages could house this thing, at least on a standard home. But then again, with a price tag of $60,000 up to infinity, it’s not like the standard home owner will possess one anyway.
The picture below this paragraph is of a commercial F650 with a trailer attached to the back of it. This what the majority of them on the road will look like. I call the color “commercial white” because it seems all commercial vehicles, regardless of manufacturer, use the exact same coat of white.
There are three different Ford F650 engines available. The first is a 6 liter V-8 power stroke engine and is seen more often on the custom trucks than the commercial ones. The Cummins 6.7 liter diesel is probably the most common and the Caterpillar 7.2 liter diesel is for those that have some serious work to do. The miles per gallon on these trucks is difficult to pinpoint but rest assured it’s atrocious. But saving the environment isn’t exactly what they were built for. Besides, with options of a 45 gallon tank all the way up to a 145 gallon tank, who needs good gas mileage?
This 2008 Ford F650 for sale is of the dump truck variety and a pretty good looking one at that. I’m not sure who really needs a good looking dump truck, but to each their own. It hasn’t been used yet and can be yours for the low, low price of $58,000. It comes equipped with the Cummins 6.7 liter diesel engine and hydraulic brakes. If you have ever dreamed of owning your own dump truck, lord knows I have, then this could be the one for you.
The Ford F650 limo is a nice alternative to the Hummer limo. There aren’t very many of them available and I can only imagine what it costs to have one of these built. Just imagine being able to stand up in your limo without even opening the sun roof. You know, this is one the crazy things I would do if I had way too much money. I would buy an F650 limo, hire a driver and have him drive me and only me around and drop me off in well populated areas, like in front of a bar. Just imagine this thing rolling up and one guy hops out. I guess it could come off as really sad, but I would be too amused with the ridiculousness of it all to care.
